Post heat shield
I was given a wall heater rp30E but the heat shield is missing. I see it is a $40 dollar part to replace. How critical is it? Can the heater be used without it?

The heat shield is not currently available for this model.
It should be used to prevent the housing from overheating and peeling the paint from the housing.
