DYNAVENT DNV40 adjustment, efficiency and noises

Hi all,
Just window mounted a Dynavent DNV-40 that I bought locally for $100.

Although the flame looks pretty good I noticed in the parts sheet that appears to go to this unit (Hand titled "Suburban Model DNV40 DYNAVENT FORM 2001-B 10-77 thru 3-81) has Items#32, 33, 34 and 37, all parts of the Air Shutter Adjustment. These parts seems to have disappeared from succeeding models except the DNV40G has kept some of the parts but the adjustment rod is gone.
Being as there is no adjustment procedure and these look like standard gas burners in that you adjust them by making sure the gas pressure is OK, and adjusting how much air is going to the burner. Sometimes you change orifice sizes a bit.

The questions here are: Were these adjustment rods problematic and that is why they are gone? More importantly should I remove the unit from service and inspect this arrangement for component failure?

Is it really 75% efficient? 40K input, 30K output on tag.

When the burner fires there is a noticeably loud click which I assume is the gas valve, is that normal?

Where does one get parts for these?

Any other problems to look for?
